The Kohaku Uta Gassen New Year TV program of NHK TV is shown in Houston starting at about 7:30 am Houston time via NHK International (large dish antenna, c-band) or TV Japan (small dish antenna, ku-band) satellite broadcasts. An alternative to satellite TV is the shortwave broadcast on NHK World Radio at 11,705 kHz, which seems to start at roughly 8 am in Houston.. |
